Battle Grade Scalemail by Ulrich-Ironpaw Battle Grade Scalemail by Ulrich-Ironpaw
my first attempt at scalemail. me being me, however made it way more complicated than it needed to be so i added some extra armor by means of a 4-1 chainmail weave on the back side =^.^=

hey i been doing chainmail and scale mail for awhile alot of trial and error can i make a effective suggestion since most of the instructions read on the scalemail and videos i watched always shows how you end up with a triangular shape? maybe it may help ya in the long run in a way?

Seem like a very interesting hobby. I looked up the sight you mentioned but it's a bit hard to determine there how much material is in their bags since they sell by weight and the material size and weight differ based on metal used. Says it takes about 1k scales and 2K rings for a 1 ft^2. Sounds like a lot but was wondering how much actually (on average of light and cheap material) comes in about a pound of rings/scale?

Nice, but im curious, does the extra weave makes it less flexible? :/ ?? was it difficult to join those scales with the weave?

Curiousity question, a problem I have with my weave is that when it's stretched in the width the scales obviously fold over eachother in a thick stack of useless.
Did adding the 1:4 weave at the back remove/reduce this problem? Or did it simply strengthen the weave?
